It’s fight week, and the heavyweights return to ESPN+ and the Wembley Arena in the United Kingdom. Interim WBO heavyweight champion Zhilei ‘Big Bang’ Zhang (25-1-1, 20 KOs) will once again face the former title holder Joe ‘The Juggernaut’ Joyce (15-1, 14 KOs) only five months removed from their first bout. The phrase “repeat or revenge” comes to mind again as their first fight ended with the referee stopping it as Joyce’s right eye was almost completely shut.
The rematch wasn’t at the top of the list for Zhang as he has publicly stated the desire to face one of the champions within the division. Zhang had to agree to a rematch clause to get the first Joyce fight. Shortly after his defeat, Joyce exercised the rematch clause, so now we will see them lace up the gloves to face each other for the second time. Anything can happen in the heavyweight division, so fight fans will be tuned in worldwide to see how this fight unfolds.
