The return of the 2016 Olympic gold medalist at super heavyweight (which is simply heavyweight in professional boxing) Tony Yoka will face Carlos Takam on March 11 in Paris, France, as first reported by the French outlet, L’Équipe.
This will signal Yoka’s first fight since a one-sided loss to Martin Bakole in May of last year. That loss was so startling it begs questions about where Yoka’s confidence will be in the future.
Takam is now 42-years-old, and screams of being a hand-selected opponent as he is coming off back-to-back losses to Joe Joyce and Arlambek Makhmudov in recent fights.
