Boxing’s fastest growing promotion Wednesday Night Fights kicks off 2024 with a super lightweight clash between the undefeated pairing of Luis Feliciano and Mykquan Williams.
The main event between Milwaukee born Feliciano and Connecticut’s Williams is scheduled for ten rounds at the ProBox Events Center in Plant City, Florida on January 17 broadcast worldwide on ProBox TV.
Feliciano (17-0, 8 KOs) saw a quiet 2023 with a solitary unanimous decision victory over Clarence Booth in his native Milwaukee this past April. The former national amateur champion scored points win’s over Alejandro Frias Rodriguez and Hector Colin the year before. His last knockout victory was over Fernando Carcamo four and a half years ago.
Williams (19-0-2, 8 KOs) also had a less than busy 2023. The 25-year-old was involved in a majority decision draw with Paulo Cesar Galdino at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, New York. He previously defeated Clarence Booth over the ten round distance in Manhattan, NY six months previously.
The chief support provides WNF with another potential barnburner when knockout artists Freudis Rojas (12-0, 11 KOs) and Cristian Baez (19-3, 17 KOs) collide at welterweight. Las Vegas’s Rojas scored a wide points victory over Saul Bustos in September. He had previously gone 11 wins with 11 knockouts. Baez was knocked out in his last appearance against Petros Ananyan in Plant City this past August. The Venezuelan previously got the nod on the scorecards against Kevin Johnson in Las Vegas.
Puerto Rico’s Jaycob Gomez (8-0-1, 5 KOs) locks horns with Vegas’s Ezequiel Borrero (6-0, 2 KOs) over eight rounds at super featherweight. Gomez comes off two consecutive WNF victories over Robenilson Vieira de Jesus and Juan Antonio Lopez. Borrero was last in action on ProBox TV defeating Carlos Rosario by unanimous decision.
James Browning (9-0, 7 KOs) Vs Roger Hilley (13-0, 8 KOs) opens the televised broadcast in Florida. The undefeated Americans square off over six rounds at lightweight in the third all-undefeated bout of the night.
