Deontay Wilder to Anthony Joshua: 'I'm here and ready to go'

Former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs) jumped on Instagram moments ago to directly address former unified champion Anthony Joshua (26-3, 23 KOs). Wilder feels that Joshua is being told things he feels aren’t true about him, so he decided to record a video addressing some of those things. In the video, Wilder says, “So, Anthony, you are hearing it from the horse’s mouth. I’m here and ready to go. I heard some things about what your Promoter said that my last fight only lasted a short period of time and that I haven’t fought in a year, and he don’t know if I want to fight or not. But I’m letting you know right here, right now that I’m ready to fight and get in that ring.”

Wilder goes on to talk more about the fight, and the whole video is addressing Joshua. Wilder added the following caption to the post: “Dear @anthonyjoshua, Brudda the time is now!
I don’t understand the process of fighting so many others before me… and maybe it’s none of my business to understand but understand you must overcome your fears. Fear will allow many to miss out on displaying their true greatness. Look, Mate Do what you got to do but help me keep my word to my fans that 2024 is going to be electrifying. It’s about time to get this party back started don’t you agree? Wishing you many blessings and peace-BombZquad

Wilder has been in the gym getting ready for a fight throughout the summer, and there were talks of him facing Andy Ruiz Jr., but that fight never materialized due to the purse demands being too far apart, according to Wilder. The Joshua fight was also discussed throughout the year, but nothing materialized. This sounds like Wilder wants to get the deal done and give the fight fans a matchup that has been sought after for years.
