Light-Heavyweight contender Anthony Yarde said he will make his ring return in London on February 10.
Hamzah Sheeraz will headline the card held at the Copporbox Arena, with Sheeraz taking a significant step-up in opposition by facing the former British middleweight champion and former world title challenger, Liam Williams.
Queensberry Promotions will promote the event.
Yarde (24-3, 23 KOs), a two-time light-heavyweight world title challenger, continues his rebuild following an eighth round defeat to Artur Beterbiev in January, 2023, at London’s 02 Arena.
Yarde surpassed expectations with his performance in the Fight of the Year contender against the unified world champion Beterbiev, who returns Saturday against Callum Smith in Quebec City, Canada.
Yarde returned for the first time following defeat to Beterbiev in September at London’s Wembley Arena, London, featuring on the undercard to Zhilei Zhang’s third round knockout victory over Joe Joyce in a interim heavyweight title contest.
Yarde faced Jorge Silva of Portugal, claiming victory in the second round of a scheduled ten-round affair.
The Tunde Ajayi trained Yarde, confirmed his return to action on his Instagram account, revealing the date and location alongside a short video.
No opponent has been confirmed for Yarde at the time of publication, with an announcement of Yarde’s opposition set to be made by Yarde’s promoter, Frank Warren of Queensberry Promotions.
