WBO Orders Oscar Valdez vs Emanuel Navarrete

Three of the four world titles at junior lightweight are vacant, and because of that, we’re now seeing some traction, and movement in the division.

Earlier it was announced that Rey Vargas would face O’Shaquie Foster for the WBC vacant 130 lbs title, and Jake Donovan of BoxingScene.com confirmed that Oscar Valdez and Emanuel Navarrete are now being ordered for the WBO vacant title at 130 lbs.

The fight between two Mexican warriors will look to see Valdez become a three-time world champion, and Navarrete become a three-weight world champion, in a can’t miss fight that Bob Arum has alluded to possibly landing on Feb. 3rd, of next year.

Both sides are promoted by Top Rank, and as stated by Jake Donovan’s fine reporting, Navarrete is not required to give up his title.
