Tyson Fury will exercise his rematch clause and fight newly-minted undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk again in October.
Promoter Frank Warren told talkSPORT that the second fight will take place back in Saudi Arabia in October.
Previously October 12 had been mentioned as the working date.
“He’s back here,” said Warren. “He’s recuperating and his mood is that he wants the rematch. That is already signed for so that will happen.”
Fury had, post-fight, not committed to the rematch. “I’ve just had a fight,” said Fury. “As you can see from my face. I’m pretty busted up… He’s busted up too.”
Usyk claimed Fury’s WBC title, and added it to the collection of belts he won from Anthony Joshua, including the WBA, WBO and IBF crowns to become the first undisputed heavy weight champion in 25 years.
However, the rematch will likely not have all four belts on the line, with the IBF reportedly poised to strip Usyk and award their title to the winner of the June 1 fight between Filip Hrgovic and Daniel Dubois.
