Junior middleweight prospect Callum Walsh (8-0, 7 KOs) looks to continue his dominant year as he faces Ismael Villarreal (13-1, 9 KOs) in a ten-round bout. Walsh has been getting a massive promotional push from his promoter and UFC CEO & President Dana White.
Walsh has made a name for himself in California but is now looking to establish some roots in the Tri-State area, as he can tap into a significant Irish population of fight fans. Walsh has been magnificent against the level of opposition he’s been given, but now the real work starts as he faces more seasoned fighters like Villarreal. If Walsh looks impressive on Thursday, a good portion of the boxing community will ask him to be considered the Prospect of the Year. That conversation is on hold until everyone sees how he performs this week.

Villarreal will have some of the home crowd behind him as he is from the Bronx and will look to keep the momentum going from his September second-round TKO victory over John David Martinez (19-3, 16 KOs). With Villarreal being a six-year pro, can he give Walsh some issues that will halt the Walsh promo train?
