WBC world heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, has reacted to the news that his proposal to fight former unified world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in a characteristic fashion.

Earlier on June 1st, Frank Warren, who co-promotes Fury, revealed that Joshua has turned down the opportunity to challenge Fury for his WBC world heavyweight title in September, which would have been held at Wembley Stadium, London. Warren, when asked by Talksport for an update on the proposed offer from Fury, stated the following.

“Last week, a written proposal was sent to Matchroom for AJ to fight Tyson in September.

“Eddie Hearn came back and spoke to my son George, who said it will take a couple of days to see where they are with it.

“Couple of days went by and George met yesterday with AJ’s management company.

“They confirmed that AJ is fighting in Dubai in December, that is his preferred route.

“There is a space open in August but they basically do not want to do the fight.

Fury, reacted in his usual manner to the news that his proposal had been rejected by Joshua and called the former heavyweight kingpin Joshua a “ what a pussy boy. Usyk is a pussy so is AJ” on an Instagram post on his account.
