Tyson Fury Calls For Joe Joyce Fight If Usyk Fight Does Not Happen

Tyson Fury is deep into preparations for his upcoming fight with Derek Chisora scheduled for December 3rd at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London. It is expected to be a routine title defence of the WBC world heavyweight crown with those around him already plotting the next steps for the Gypsy King. It is common consensus that Fury could very well end up fighting Oleksandr Usyk which would see all the world heavyweight titles up for grabs with the winner becoming the first undisputed world heavyweight champion in the four-belt era. Promoters Bob Arum and Frank Warren have suggested that there is currently no obvious obstacles preventing that fight from happening next in 2023.

Hower in a recent interview to Dev Shani of Queensberry, Tyson is open to a fight with Joe Joyce if the Usyk fight does not materialize.

“If Usyk don’t want no smoke in February, then let’s do [Joe] Joyce at Wembley,” Fury told host Dev Sahni in a video posted to Queensberry Promotions’ YouTube channel Tuesday. “You heard it here first. Joe, get your skates on, get fit, moosh, because if the middleweight don’t want no smoke, you’re in. Because I’m fighting three times next year, and you can be one of ‘em.”
