Tony Yoka Vows To Rebuild Following Defeat To Takam

Tony Yoka (11-2) suffered his second defeat (and consecutive) on Saturday in Paris, ultimately being defeated by an in-form Carlos Takam. Yoka showed a lack of confidence, was gun-shy and eventually was bullied inside the ring. Scoring aside (the contest ruled a split decision) Yoka was well handled despite being a former world amateur and Olympic super-heavyweight gold medalist.

Yoka was booed following the contest by those in attendance in Paris, of which Takam urged his supporters to stick with him and support him. Yoka appreciated those words and has vowed to return to the ring despite being left in a difficult position regarding his career. Now facing a major rebuild of his career, Yoka says he will keep working hard and return to work (in the gym).
