Tim Tszyu vs. Carlos Ocampo: Live Stream, Betting Odds & Fight Card

Showtime Boxing returns to Australia, where Broadbeach's Gold Coast Convention Centre will host an interim WBO junior middleweight title fight. The champion Tim Tszyu (22-0, 16 KOs), will face the battle-tested Carlos Ocampo (35-2, 23 KOs). This fight takes place just three months after Tszyu dominated Tony Harrison on his way to a ninth-round TKO victory. Since the undisputed champion Jermell Charlo (35-1-1, 19 KOs) needs more time for his injured hand to heal, Tszyu decided to take a fight in between to remain sharp for the biggest fight of his career later this year.

With respect to Tszyu, he is not only staying busy but also doing so against tough competition. Tszyu is eager to step into the ring with Charlo, and it’s a fight everyone wants to see, but we just have to wait a little longer. Another impressive victory by Tszyu will make the Charlo fight even bigger. Is Tszyu doing too much by turning around in 90 days, or is this the best thing he could have done so that he can remain sharp? Only time will tell, but he has Ocampo to worry about first.

Speaking of Ocampo, he recently went 12 rounds with Sebastian Fundora but came up as he lost on the scorecards. Ocampo returned in March and stopped Mauricio Castor in five rounds which positioned him nicely for this fight with Tszyu. Can he pull the upset on Saturday night?
