Terence Crawford Stops Avanesyan in Six

BLK Prime’s first event pay-per-view event taking place at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska saw WBO welterweight champion Terence “Bud” Crawford get a one-punch KO over David Avanesyan in the sixth round

The bout served as Crawford’s lone fight of 2022, in which he thrilled hometown fans up until the point of the sixth round stoppage. The end came when both fighters were exchanging punches, but a right hook dropped and stopped Avanesyan, who not just felt the power of that shot, but was also feeling the effects of a very hard fight that lead up until that punch.

In front a near sell-out crowd, Crawford continued his knockout streak, and stayed undefeated as many fans still await the big fight with either him vs. Errol Spence Jr., or Vergil Ortiz and/or Jaron “Boots” Ennis.

On the undercard, Cris Cyborg fought the second time as a professional boxer get a four-round decision over Gabby Halloway, Arnold Khegai got a split-decision win over Eduardo Baez in a featherweight bout, and Jeremiah Milton got a six-round decision over Dejuan Calloway.
