Team Usyk insist that Fury is stripped of his WBC title, Fury responds in brazen fashion

Promoter Alex Krassyuk, who has guided unified world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk throughout his professional career, has sensationally called on the WBC to strip Tyson Fury of their respective world heavyweight title.

Krassyuk made the comments regarding his belief that Fury should be stripped at today’s press conference to kick off the promotion to Usyk’s mandatory defence of his unified titles against #1 challenger Daniel Dubois, with the contest due to take place in Wroclaw, Poland, on August 26th.

Speaking to Seconds Out, Kraysuuk believes the WBC champion should be removed from his title due to Fury’s inactivity and “cheating people” by announcing fights that will not happen or have been confirmed. It is speculated that Fury is all but set to fight former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, which has infuriated many within the sport along with the managerial handlers of Usyk.

“Fight? You call that a fight? It’s a performance, an exhibition. It’s not a fight. The fight is when you have the undisputed heavyweight title at stake, that’s a fight.”

“When you’re fighting Ngannou, you’re earning money and entertaining the public, that’s all.”

“He’s not actually breaking any rules of the WBC, but from a pure sports point of view, he has to be stripped because he stays inactive for so long, and he’s cheating people, announcing fights that don’t take place.”

Tyson has since responded to the comments made by Krassyuk in typical brazen fashion and has dismissed the possibility of being stripped by the WBC. Last month, the ranking organisation confirmed their intention to enforce their ruling following their respective convention in 2022 that the winner of a final eliminator between Deontay Wilder & Andy Ruiz Jr will become the mandatory challenger to face Fury.

Speaking on social media, Fury replies, “Hey guys, a little bit of clarification. I hear there’s a lot of unknown, irrelevant people talking about how I should be stripped of my belt. Ha! Don’t hate the player, hate the game. I don’t have a mandatory.

When I do have a mandatory, it will be dealt with, just like every other mandatory I’ve ever had. Until then, keep on hating motherfuckers and enjoy the little, little, tiny bit of money you guys are making.”
