Gervonta 'Tank' Davis gives an update on his next fight

Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis (29-0, 27 KOs) has broken his silence on social media to give an update on when fans can expect his return to the ring. The account named @_CousinTony posted a message saying “I need @Gervonta to let ni$$az know if he fighting 4th qrt or top of next year so I can book my next trips accordingly.”Davis quote messaged and said “I’m getting my personal life together..I’ll see yall top of the year.”There were rumors that Davis would return by the end of the year but with the fourth quarter being the most difficult to schedule a big fight, Davis will likely return in January as he did at the beginning of this year against Hector Luis Garcia. Davis spent part of the summer in jail after violating some of the terms to the agreement he signed as a result of his plea deal.

Showtime Sports Executive Stephen Espinoza shut down all the rumors of a potential Davis fight against Keith Thurman yesterday afternoon. Davis is one of boxing’s brightest stars and it would be smart for Showtime to start the year off with him having a fight against either Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz or someone of note like UFC super featherweight champion Sean O’Malley. While there were questions whether we would see Davis back before the end of the year, now we know and can move on to speculate even more of who his opponent might be.
