It appears WBA, WBC and IBF welterweight world champion Errol Spence Jr. will fight Keith Thurman, but the rumored weight will be at 154 lbs division, with a rumored April fight date looming.
This would mark a one-year absence from the ring from Spence Jr., who is one of the best in the business and a little over a year out of the ring for Thurman.
ESPN.com's Mike Coppinger was first to break the news, and BoxingScene.com's Jake Donovan was on the frontline reporting all the details.
Though not a deathblow to the Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence Jr. fight, it seems like if we see that fight it won’t happen until at the earliest 2024 at this point, but possible 2025.
