ERROL SPENCE JR. VS. TERENCE CRAWFORD CELEBRITY PREDICTIONS

George Foreman (Boxing Hall of Famer): Crawford

That’s a fight that puts me in a weird position because I’m a fan of Spence Jr., but in my mind, I can’t see anyone beating Crawford. It’s all about Crawford and what chances he takes (whether a knockout is possible). He’s (Crawford) a classic boxer, and I always tell everyone that the sport of boxing was invented for boxers. He’s got it: the right size to be able to defend himself, all of the counter moves, the jabs, and the combinations. I think it will go the distance. After a while, Spence Jr.’s corner will tell him, ‘You can’t be walking into shots,’ so I look for a 12-round decision in favor of Crawford. (Foreman’s biopic Big George Foreman is available on all digital platforms.)

Rsonists (Multi-Platinum Producer-Heatmakerz): Undecided

I have Spence Jr. because he is Jamaican and I’m Jamaican (laughs). If I had to put money on the line, I don’t really know who I would pick. I do see, and I could be wrong because Crawford is a monster, but I feel like Spence Jr.’s pressure might prove to be a little bit too much for Crawford in the later rounds if he can keep the pressure throughout the fight.

Holt McCallany (Hollywood Actor-Mindhunter, The Iron Claw, Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part Two): Crawford

The most anticipated fight of the year will also be the closest fight of the year. Spence and Crawford are the best in the world; each will have his moments and win rounds. But in the end, Crawford’s ability to fight both southpaw and orthodox will frustrate the bigger, stronger Spence, and Crawford should pull away in the later rounds. Crawford by split decision.

Charles Malik Whitfield (Hollywood Actor-Picture Me Dead, Bastard Sons): Crawford

God said trust your eyes and your instincts. Know what’s in your heart, and don’t go away from that. When they build someone up, you better know you are exactly who you are, and that’s ‘Bud’ Crawford. He’s dynamite in every aspect. He’s not just a boxer but a master boxer. If you are going to have a bull tamer, it’s going to be Crawford. No matter who Errol has been in the ring with, I don’t think he will ever say he’s been in the ring with someone as slick, savvy, and someone who can punish you in every way, like Crawford. That’s going to be the difference. It won’t be a huge difference, but enough to say Crawford by decision.

Danny Limelight (United Wrestling Network World Heavyweight Champion): Spence Jr.

My money is usually with Spence Jr., but this could be a career-making moment for Crawford. He will have to KO Spence Jr. to win, and I don’t see that happening—Spence Jr. by decision.

Bronze Nazareth (Hip Hop Artist & producer, Wu-Tang alum): Crawford

This is a 50/50 fight for me. I think I’m going with Crawford by late stoppage. He has that dog in him. Spence is bigger and maybe a little more powerful, but Crawford is more crafty and definitely an iller finisher for me.

DJ Scream (BIG FACTS podcast on Revolt, The Scream Foundation): Spence Jr.

This is a tough one. Give me Spence on a decision. When I was looking at their fighting styles, this will not be a Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia type of fight. They complement each other very well. It will come down to their conditioning, and it will go to a decision.

Kevin Interdonato (Hollywood Actor & Director- Sopranos, City on a Hill & Bastard Sons): Crawford

This is the one I am looking forward to. For me, I’m going to go with Crawford by unanimous decision. I don’t think Spence has it in him to give up. He’s a champion. It takes a certain type of person to be a champion. After all is said and done, I think Crawford pushes the needle a little more with Ring IQ, and he’s a little more calculating. In those later rounds, he will capitalize on it and win unanimously.

ProBoxTV prediction panel results: 5-2 for Crawford & one undecided

Although the panel is leaning towards Crawford to win, I will go against the majority and say Spence Jr. wins by decision. This gives me the first Canelo vs. GGG fight vibes where Canelo got the decision, but GGG won the fight in the eyes of the fight fans. It’s a close fight, but in the end, Spence Jr. will have his hand raised and will be the undisputed welterweight champion.
