Showtime Boxing set to bow out with David Morrell-Sena Agbeko

Terms have been agreed for David Morrell and Sena Agbeko to fight in Showtime Boxing’s final broadcast, on December 16.

ProBox TV understands that the super middleweight rivals are scheduled to meet at the Armoury in Minneapolis – the city Cuba’s Morrell will be fighting out of for the sixth time in 10 professional fights.

The promising Morrell, 25, last fought when he stopped Yamaguchi Falcao on the undercard of Gervonta Davis’ victory over Ryan Garcia at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena on April 22 – the first of the significant fights Showtime staged in the last year of its commitment to boxing.

Ghana’s 31-year-old Agbeko came into contention to be his latest opponent by stopping Bruno Leonardo Romay in Sioux City last month.

David Benavidez has most recently declared an interest in fighting Morrell should he not be Saul “Canelo” Alvarez’s next opponent. Morrell-Agbeko, however, will bring down the curtain on Showtime Boxing first.
