Seniesa Estrada returns in July 28th, not against Yokasta Valle

Seniesa Estrada is one of the most popular figures in women’s boxing history. Estrada, in fact, is so great that she is weight class ambiguous as she has competed from strawweight all the way to flyweight simply for opportunities.

Estrada is now returning July 28th at the Palms Casino, the night before Terence Crawford versus Errol Spence Jr., against former flyweight world champion Leonela Yudica, per the reporting of Dan Rafael. This is not the fight many hoped for as many wanted to see Estrada in an undisputed fight with Yokasta Valle.

“My next fight will be in late July, I don’t know a location or opponent yet,” said Estrada to ProBox TV News. “It probably won’t be the undisputed fight [against Yokasta Valle] at 105 [lbs] for various reasons, but I am going to move and maybe even move up in weight - and fight for a unification fight there.”

As for why the Valle bout is not happening, Estrada wants to make it perfectly clear that she is not responsible for the undisputed fight between two popular fighters occurring. Earlier this year, before defeating “Tiny” Tina Rupprecht.

In March of this year, ProBoxTV News had caught with Estrada prior to her strawweight unification fight with Tina Rupprecht in which she stated she was very bullish on the idea of making a fight with Yokasta Valle for the summer of 2023.

“As far as Yoka [Valle] I am not really concerned about her style," said Estrada in March to ProBox TV News. "I am going to show that with every performance, especially with this performance, I am going to show I am just on a different level, compared to everyone else who is in my weight division.”
