Sampson sends open letter to Canelo's team for fight with Benavidez

Sampson Lewkowicz has issued a public statement via a press release this evening regarding the future of a fight between his client, David Benavidez, who is the number one contender for the WBC super middleweight world title, and the undisputed super middleweight world champion, Canelo Alvarez.

The letter, which has been sent out as public domain for all to read is as follows

For those who are not fans of reading, the e-mail essentially said, that Sampson has sent Canelo's team, a very lucrative offer, and is awaiting their decision on the situation.

This comes on the heels of Sampson speaking directly to ProBox TV News earlier this year in Brooks, California, prior to a ShoBox: The Next Generation card, as he explained the following about the process

“[Canelo] is supposed to do right for the people of boxing [and fight David Benavidez]," said Sampson to ProBox TV News in April of this year. "I can not force him, as well as Mauricio can not make Canelo fight [David Benavidez].”
