Rocha doesn’t have to take this fight as he is currently ranked number one with the WBO and is in line for a title shot as soon as the Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence Jr. II fight gets sorted out. He’s been burned with waiting around before as he appeared to be lined up to face Crawford before the Spence Jr. fight was signed. Rocha knows that activity matters, and he wants to stay sharp by continuing to take on these challenges like this one on Saturday night against an undefeated fighter. Santillan has fought mostly against club-level fighters, and this will be the biggest name on his BoxRec page. The 31-year-old from San Diego, CA, feels ready for the biggest challenges and will look to leapfrog up the rankings with a victory over Rocha.
