Newly crowned WBO world featherweight world champion Robeisy Ramirez (12-1, 7 KOs) did not waste his time targeting big fights following his world title win over Isaac Dogboe ( 24-3 15KOs). Ramirez produced a dominant and efficient display against Dogboe and finally delivered on his potential following a debut defeat in 2019. The two-time Olympic gold medalist, Ramirez, would drop Dogboe in the twelfth round before claiming a unanimous decision with scores of 117-110, 119-108 & 118-109 in Tulsa, AZ
Post-fight, Ramirez spoke about how he plans to target the likes of Michael Conlan & Luis Alberto Lopez (IBF world featherweight champion) while paying tribute to trainer Ismael Salas. Ramirez would link up with Salas on the recommendation from Yordenis Ugas following his shock debut defeat. However, Ramirez feels his win will be a new chapter of his life.
