Regis Prograis Open To Fighting Isaac Cruz

Isaac Cruz stated he’d be open to fighting Regis Prograis, and now it appears Prograis isn’t mad at that idea either.

“I would love that,” stated Prograis to Hans Themistode of BoxingScene.com. “I would love that fight.”

This was in response to Cruz’s father, Isaac Cruz Sr., stating the following.

“If there is a world title fight, that would be an option," said Cruz Sr. when speaking to the publication Izquierdazo. “…but only if there is a real world title fight. We wouldn't be interested in moving up, except if there is a world title opportunity 140, we would take it.”

Prograis is looking to land some type of marquee bout as he is currently looking defend to his WBC 140 lbs title that he won against Jose Zepeda, late-last year. He was mandated to fight Jose Ramirez which fell through now it appears Teofimo Lopez and Sandor Martin are next up in terms of the rankings. That said, Cruz seems as interesting of an opponent as we could see Prograis in with.

“I really think I’ll stop him, I really think I beat him up bad and if I don’t, I can box circles around him.”
