Gilberto Ramirez vs. Joe Smith Jr.: Live Stream, Betting Odds & Fight Card

DAZN will have a full day of fights on Saturday as they look to host cards throughout the afternoon and evening. The one later in the day is a co-promotion as Golden Boy Promotions and Star Boxing pit their stars against each other. Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez (44-1, 30 KOs) will face Joe Smith Jr. (28-4, 22 KOs) in a cruiserweight bout at a catchweight of 193 lbs. This is a new weight class for both, so it’ll be interesting to see who adjusts to it better.

Ramirez hasn’t been in the ring since November when he lost to WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol. Ramirez was supposed to fight Gabe Rosado earlier this year but couldn’t make the contract weight of 175 pounds. Now he gets to come in almost 20 pounds north of what he has been for this fight against Smith Jr.

It’s been 16 months since Smith Jr. last fought against unified light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev, who stopped him in the second round of their fight in NYC. Smith Jr. has gone through a lot during that time and looks to get his career back on track with a victory over Ramirez on Saturday night.
