Ramirez ready to break records after Romero ‘prices himself out’ of Garcia fight

Ryan Garcia might fight Jose Ramirez, and not Rolando Romero

This comes after Oscar De La Hoya typed the following on X: “Looking like Ryan Garcia vs Jose Ramirez is getting close and happening,” tweeted De La Hoya.

ProBox TV reached out to Ramirez's manager Rick Mirigian who replied, “Ryan and Jose would set a gate record in California, both massive draws and an incredible fight, it is a made-for-TV scrap with endless storylines.”

Garcia has seen plenty of drama and speculation around his next fight.

After stopping Oscar Duarte in the eighth round of their December fight, the mega-star has been looking over his options. It was first thought Garcia would face Devin Haney. Then, the Rolando Romero fight seemed like the next bout to be made.

Now, it appears that Golden Boy’s newest signing, Ramirez, could land the coveted fight.

When asked why Romero might be out of fighting Garcia. De La Hoya stated the following via social media, “[He] priced himself out.”

Garcia took to social media to post the following.

"No Ramirez. Let's make that clear," tweeted Garcia.

Garcia furthered his frustrations with the following.

"Ryan Garcia vs Oscar De La Hoya at this point."
