A crossroads bout between Oscar Rivas and Efe Ajagba is no longer happening, as the bout scheduled for January 14th on ESPN, is now off, after Rivas suffered an eye injury while sparring.
The news broke today on promoter Yvon Michel’s Twitter feed.
“We have just informed @trboxing that Oscar Rivas unfortunately has to withdraw from his fight against Efe Ajagba on January 14 in Verona,” Michel tweeted. “He injured an eye during his last sparring and his doctor forbids him to enter the ring under these conditions.”
No word a possible replacement opponent yet for Efe Ajagba.
