Mike Tyson Walked Out Of A Jake Paul Sparring Session

This week we heard a claim of a meme circling the internet in which Jake Paul, who will face Anderson Silva, October 29th on pay-per-view, live from Glendale, Arizona, in which Jake Paul hinted at calling out Mike Tyson.

This week we also found out that Mike Tyson saw Jake Paul sparring and left, as told by famed boxing coach Freddie Roach to FightHype.com.

"Tyson looked at him and left,” said the world famous coach, Freddie Roach to FightHype.com ”He saw 30 seconds of him sparring and said, 'Freddie, can we go down and see the pictures?'. He knows that's where the good pictures are. He wasn't as interested as I was.”

Roach, who has trained many Hall of Fame fighter such as Manny Pacquiao has been long viewed as a true professional and not just one of the greatest coaches, but a great fighter in his own right. Roach gave his own thoughts on Paul on what he observed.

“[Jake Paul is] OK, a club fighter... I don't know him personally and I've never really met him. He was in my gym and wondered if they could use the ring and I said go ahead.”

For someone who started boxing just a few years ago, being called a club fighter is actually quite the compliment, and for a world-class trainer like Freddie Roach to watch you train is also quite impressive as well.

Paul knocked out Nate Robinson on Mike Tyson’s return to boxing when he faced Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition bout, but since that fight, Tyson has not fought again.
