Egidijus Kavaliausksas has fought both Terence Crawford and Vergil Ortiz. The result was the same as a knockout loss, but Ortiz did it one round faster than Crawford did.
When asking Kavaliauskas who he would favor he was to the point.
“I think [Ortiz is] the winner in that fight,” said the fighter nicknamed The Mean Machine to Fight Hub TV “He would beat Crawford.”
The comment is interesting as the WBO welterweight champion, Terence Crawford is about to have to enforce his mandatory title defense against Vergil Ortiz, as Ortiz is the #1 contender for his title. Crawford is set to face David Avanesyan on December 10th, but I wouldn't be shocked if Ortiz looked to get his mandatory fight after that bout happens.
The method of victory - Kavaliauskas thinks possibly a stoppage.
“Maybe with a stoppage,” said Kavaliauskas about the outcome. “He’s an aggressive and powerful guy. I think Vergil Ortiz has more power. He’s a more powerful, more stronger guy and more aggressive guy.”
