Boxing was due for a scale fail that would get a ton of attention, and yesterday, it happened. WBA featherweight champion Mauricio ‘Bronco’ Lara (26-2-1, 19 KOs) came in at 129.8 lbs. as he missed the weight check-in earlier in the week, leading to him not being able to weigh in less than 128 lbs. On the other hand, Leigh Wood (26-3, 16 KOs), who wants to recapture his title, came just underneath the featherweight limit.
