Lomachenko Sees Stevenson As Harder Fight Than Haney

A year lay-off might have shown as Vasiliy Lomachenko, looked moral against Jamaine Ortiz in the main event on Saturday at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater, which resulted in a Lomachenko unanimous decision win.

Lomachenko has made it very clear, who thinks is the tougher fight of the two young fighters vying to face him next, Devin Haney and Shakur Stevenson.

“I think the more difficult fight is Shakur Stevenson,” said Lomachenko to BoxingScene.com during fight. “I think he’s more technical.”

Stevenson, a 2016 Olympic silver medalist, has been vocal about calling out Lomachenko since moving to lightweight, but Lomachenko who is motivated more so by legacy, is more than likely going to face undisputed lightweight world champion, Devin Haney.

That being said, it is interesting that Lomachenko sees Stevenson as the trickier fight of the two.
