Confidence is something Keyshawn Davis doesn’t lack, as he made easy work of game veteran Juan Carlos Burgos on December 10th at Madison Square Garden, with the vacant WBO intercontinental title on the line.
“I’m definitely ready. I dominated an experienced opponent every single round,” Davis said when speaking to AB Boxing News. “I’m ready to step it up a level. I definitely wanna step up and go for the world title.”
Davis, who is facing high-level competition early in his career and a silver medalist at the 2020 Olympics, is looking to get into the mix for a world title by the end of 2023.
The division is stacked with talent as Devin Haney and Vasiliy Lomachenko hold the top spots along with Gervonta Davis, so if Davis is successful in his attempts to get a world title, fight fans will not be at a loss for good fights to be made.
