The 23-year-old Olympic silver medalist Keyshawn Davis is letting be known that he doesn’t want to take light touches in 2023.
After beating a former world title contender in Juan Carlos Burgos to end 2022, Davis knows who he wants next.
“Jeremia Nakathila, that’s the fight that I want,” said Davis when speaking with Hans Themistode of BoxingScene.com. “His last fight, he beat the hell out of Berchelt. Tell Jeremiah Nakathila wassup, I want to fight him.”
As alluded to Nakathila recently stopped Miguel Berchelt in his last fight which was March of 2022. Prior to that Stevenson fought Shakur Stevenson in June of 2021.
“I feel like he’s even more dangerous now because he moved up to 135. He’s most likely feeling way better at that weight, way stronger at that weight, way more confident at that weight,” Davis furthered. “After I [expletive] him up, there ain’t gonna be no ifs, ands or buts of ‘oh Keyshawn world title this, world title that.'"
