Kelvin Davis set for ProBox TV bow, talks time in camp with Terence Crawford and 2023 hopes

Top Rank's undefeated super lightweight star Kelvin Davis is all set for his ProBox TV debut, as the Norfolk, Virginia native puts his 0 on the line against fellow undefeated prospect Jalen Hill this Friday night on ProBox TV.

Davis is no stranger to US fight fans, as he comes from a fighting family which includes Olympic Silver Medalist Keyshawn Davis.

Training under the guidance of Brian 'Bomac' Mcintyre, and sharing a stable with pound for pound star Terence 'Bud' Crawford, Davis discussed his time in camp with the 3-weight world champion.

Davis said, "Everyday is a learning day at the gym. Being surrounded by great fighters is a blessing, and having my coaches Bomac, Red and the whole team working as a team to become the best out there, is a formula that creates champions.

"Terence Crawford is one of the greatest fighters of this generation, to be around Bud everyday is amazing because you learn so much. He is still hungry, he still wants it more than ever, and to see that hunger and that drive is priceless in the development of my career.

"I expect Bud to look as sharp as ever against Avanesyan and I'm about that energy with my own career and I'm going to show that on December 2. It's about putting on statements."

Davis is backed by world boxing powerhouse Top Rank, and with his brother Keyshawn on the rise alongside him, the all action prospect opened up about his hopes for 2023.

The Virginia upstart stated, "I want to put on a show on December 2 and really show that I'm on a level that I can compete with the best at 140. Sparring is sparring, fighting is fighting, but I know I'm on the level I need to be at.

"I want some form of title in 2023, I want to break into those world ratings, I know I'm capable of that and that's what I want next year. I have to look sharp on Friday night for that to happen, all I'm saying is don't blink."
