In what will be a rare instance in boxing, two current undisputed champions will face each other live on Saturday live from the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. Undisputed lightweight champion Katie Taylor (22-0, 6 KOs) will be moving up in weight to face the Undisputed super lightweight champion Chantelle Cameron (17-0, 8 KOs) in what is being promoted as a homecoming for Taylor. The matchup will stream live on DAZN, and this will be an opportunity for either woman to cement their legacy even further in front of what looks to be a ruckus crowd in Ireland.
Taylor is an international superstar already. That was clear when most of the fans at the Madison Square Garden in NYC were there to see her, even though Amanda Serrano (44-2-1, 30 KOs) had the home-field advantage of being a resident of NY. This move of stepping up to fight Cameron comes off the heels of a delayed rematch against Serrano, but one can argue that that is a tremendous interim fight. Can Taylor become an undisputed champion in two divisions simultaneously in front of her home fans?

Cameron is the wild card here as she is undefeated, a little younger at 31, and is coming off of an impressive unanimous decision victory over unified welterweight champion Jessica McCaskill (12-3, 5 KOs) back in November. Cameron doesn’t seem intimidated about this fight against Taylor, but it will certainly feel different when she walks out to a huge crowd, as the lights will be that much brighter. Can Cameron pull off the upset on Saturday?
