George Kambosos Jr. vs. Maxi Hughes: Live Stream, Betting Odds & Fight Card

Top Rank & ESPN head to the FireLake Arena in Shawnee, Oklahoma, as they host an IBO lightweight title fight. 30-year-old George Kambosos Jr. (20-2, 10 KOs) returns to the ring after back-to-back losses to the undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney (30-0, 15 KOs). He will look to get back into the world title picture as he faces IBO champion Maxi Hughes (26-5-2, 5 KOs) in a scheduled 12-round fight live on ESPN.

After becoming the unified champion when he defeated Teofimo Lopez (19-1, 13 KOs) in November 2021, Kambosos Jr. opted not to take the path of least resistance and went straight into a Haney fight in Australia. Although heavily compensated, it ended up not being the best decision, as he lost two straight fights against him. He’s young enough to bounce back from those defeats but needs to look great on Saturday night before mentioning his name against any of the top guys in the division.

On the other hand, Hughes hasn’t lost since a unanimous decision against Liam Walsh back in November 2019. With a seven-fight win streak, Hughes wants to cash in on that big fight ticket if he can move past Kambosos Jr. Can the 33-year-old live up to his alias of ‘Maximus’ and put on a dominant performance?
