Top Rank is planning a Josh Taylor vs. Teofimo Lopez, 140 junior welterweight title fight in May or June, per Mike Coppinger of ESPN.com
Taylor recently pulled out of his rematch with Jack Catterall citing an injury, and now Catterall, who many felt defeated Josh Taylor in their bout, will seemingly not got his rematch.
The news also marks the latest in Josh Taylor’s career in which inactivity has plagued his career as since 2021 Taylor has only fought three times. One of which being a quick stay-busy fight.
