A reported first by Mike Coppinger of ESPN.,com, Josh Taylor and Jack Catterall come to terms for a February 4 rematch in the U.K. for the WBO 140-pound championship, the lone title Taylor has after being stripped of the other three titles he had collected.
Taylor defeated Catterall via a controversial and heavily debated split decision when they met in February. The bout will happen, one year later.
Taylor also set an alarming trend of fighting once a year over the past two years, and even more so - with the rest of the year for boxing it appears that the final quarter of boxing in 2022 is all, but set in stone, as we’re now receiving fight dates for 2023 in the middle of October.
