Josh Taylor is out of his fight, yet again.
On Saturday it was announced Taylor has a torn plantar fascia, which will further delay his fight against Jack Catterall, a rematch of a fight that greatly hurt his stock in the sport of boxing.
Taylor is approaching a year out of the ring, and more than likely now won’t be back until the summer as of now, at the soonest.
“Hopefully the rematch—it depends on the recovery of the injury. It’s a torn tendon on my foot,” said Josh Taylor when speaking to iD Boxing. “It’s not one I can rush the recovery time is just going to have to take its time. We’re talking at least six to eight weeks just before I get back on my feet, back to training, putting any kind of pressure on my foot.”
