Janibek Alimkhanuly knows Jaime Munguia is the number one contender for his WBO middleweight title, even on the eve of Munguia’s next fight on DAZN, which isn’t against the middleweight champion.
“I told you I’m a middleweight nightmare,” Alimkhanuly said when speaking to Keith Idec of BoxingScene.com. “I am the most avoided boxer. If not, why did he refuse to fight?”
The frustration rings in Alimkhanuly’s voice as he was criticized for his last outing, but also feels the need to face fellow world champions to build a legacy of his own.
Munguia gave information to BoxingScene.com informing them, that he will be targeting Gennadiy Golovkin in 2023.
