Super middleweight John Ryder stopped Zach Parker in five rounds, which might have been his lottery ticket to a Canelo Alvarez fight.
Ryder who now has two major back-to-back wins against Daniel Jacobs and Zach Parker.
"I am so pleased for John Ryder. Since he beat Daniel Jacobs, we've been looking for this big fight," Hearn said when speaking with his own outlet, Matchroom Boxing.
It appears Hearn is looking at targeting a May fight at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium next year that would see Canelo vs. Ryder.
"I've already texted Eddy Reynoso to say 'John Ryder is mandatory, let's go in May at the Emirates'. It would be a dream for Ryder, he deserves it,” said Hearn."He is a very good fighter and he's the mandatory challenger for Canelo Alvarez. This could be our chance to bring Canelo to the UK, it would be unbelievable. We'll see if we can get it over the line."
