Gervonta Davis vs. Hector Luis Garcia, Jan. 7th in D.C.

Gervonta Davis is back in the ring, and with a Garcia just not the Garcia we thought as of now, as he will face WBA 130 lbs champion, Hector Luis Garcia, at the Capital One Arena, on Saturday, January 7th, in Washington D.C., on Showtime PPV, presented by Premier Boxing Champions.

Davis, who has held belts in three different weight classes will look to become the outright 130 lbs WBA champion, as he holds the secondary version of the WBA lightweight title as well, with a rumored bout with Ryan Garcia proposed for the Spring with a win in this fight.

The WBA Super Featherweight World Champion Héctor Luis García, a 2016 Olympian, had the upset of the year last year by defeating Chris Colbert, and taking all of Colbert’s momentum. Eleven months later, Garcia is fighting on pay-per-view, and looking to land another historic upset.
