Gervonta Davis will return in January in Washington D.C., per a post he made today on Davis' official Instagram page.
No specifics were given in terms of the date, venue, or opponent, and the post was deleted not long after posted, but it was up long enough to make news.
The hope is that he will be fighting fellow lightweight superstar Ryan Garcia, in what would be a mega-fight.
Davis is facing a December 12th trial date for a hit-and-run incident in November of 2020, which might also hold some factor into the January fight as well.
