Fury vs. Usyk In Talks, Says Co-Promoter

Fight fans get ready for some big news as famed boxing promoter Frank Warren has high hopes for the World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, as the legendary promoter believes the fight could happen before 2022 is over.

With Tyson Fury knocking out Dillian Whyte this year in six rounds to retain his WBC world heavyweight title, and Oleksandr Usyk outboxing Anthony Joshua, yet again, retaining his WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight title in the process. The only heavyweight the fans want to see at the top of the division is between these two, which is Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk.

Usyk has even raised the game stating if he doesn't fight Fury next, he won't fight again.

“It doesn’t get any better,” Frank Warren, Tyson Fury's co-promoter, said to iFL TV, about talks around Fury vs. Usyk. “This is a blue-ribbon event… world boxing heavyweight championship for the four belts to find out who’s the best heavyweight on the planet. These things happen very, very rarely. And if a country or somebody wants to host this event, they’re gonna have to dig deep. We can’t get the fight over here (in the UK) until next spring at the earliest, because if it were to go on over here it would have to be at Wembley (Stadium). And we want to get it away before the end of the year… there have been interests from various places and we’ll go where the money is.”

For fight fans, this is very good news as this means the stage is set for a potential mega-fight to happen sooner rather than later.
