There is mid-week boxing, and ProBoxTV brings you a very intriguing WBA super featherweight title eliminator between the unbeaten Otar Eranosyan (13-0, 6 KOs), who is facing the former champion and number one contender Roger Gutierrez (27-4-1, 21 KOs). Many believe Eranosyan is ready for a title shot, but he will have to beat Gutierrez on Wednesday to force a fight with the current champion, Hector Luis Garcia (16-1, 10 KOs) down the line.
Eranosyan fought three months ago and won unanimously over Edy Mercado. He has the tools to be a future champion, but it’s all about getting a victory over someone a level above the competition you have been facing. For Eranosyan, Gutierrez is just that, and Wednesday night will show the boxing world whether Eranosyan is the real deal or if his development needs to slow down a bit.
Gutierrez has been to the mountain top but lost his title last year against the champion Garcia by unanimous decision. Since then, he picked up a second-round knockout against Henry Delgado in March, which set up this fight on Wednesday. Can the 28-year-old former champion emerge victorious and get the rematch he wants?
