After Caleb Plant knocked out Anthony Dirrell in a highlight-reel fashion via ninth-round KO on pay-per-view, an interested observer, Demetrius Andrade, had a lot to say.
“We want next,” said Andrade to BoxingScene.com after the fight. “I would definitely like that.”
The big fights have alluded Andrade for whatever reason up until this point, but the former two-time world champion will now look to campaign at his new weight class of 168 lbs. Andrade racked up five successful world title defenses but vacated the belt recently making Janibek Alimkhanuly, the outright WBO middleweight champion now.
“I want to get in the ring, get a little of the rust off then early 2023, be in there with Plant for sure.”
