De La Hoya calls Hearn 'a joke' in latest tweet

The ever-evolving online saga of Twitter beef between Golden Boy Promotions CEO, Oscar De La Hoya, and Matchroom Boxing CEO, Eddie Hearn had a new moment tonight in their ongoing public feud.

As ProBox TV News reported earlier this week, Oscar De La Hoya took to Twitter to fire shots last weekend  during Edgar Berlanga’s debut with Matchroom Boxing, as rumors of a fight with Jaime Munguia, who has a co-promotional agreement, surfaced after Berlanga defeated Jason Quigley.

Tonight the newest shot was fired as De La Hoya tweeted the following.

“@EddieHearn blowing a [expletive] load of other people’s money and showing [expletive] for it is ludicrous. You think you can just come here and poach our fighters? Who have you built? Your a joke [SIC]. Go back promoting darts  at least @LEllerbe and @BobArum know what they are doing,” tweeted De La Hoya.

Though it is unclear what the reason behind the latest line of insults to Hearn is, it is clear that a weekend of frustration with Hearn has blown into the following week for De La Hoya.
