David Morrell Wants The Best Fighters At 168 lbs

Super middleweight secondary WBA world champion David Morrell fresh off his devastating knockout win over Aidos Yerbossynuly is looking to fight the biggest names in the sport.

"I told everyone at the press conference that the fight is mine. I saw he was hurt at that moment and then the results came in, that knockdown came. A knockout is a knockout, so if it’s in the eighth or 12th round, it’s a knockout anyways,” Morrell said after the fight.

Morrell, a Cuban boxer, who has relocated to Minneapolis, Minnesota, has brought The Armory to life along with local favorite Jamal James. The major ticket seller in the market, has now brought multiple world-class boxing events to this venue, and seemingly more to come.

To say Morrell was offensive was an understatement as he combined with Yerbossynuly to throw over 1,100 combined punches thrown, with the southpaw Morrell landing 39 percent of his punches and 47 percent of his power punches.

“I do know they are aware of me. They know exactly who David Morrell Jr. is and that he’s coming for it all. I want David Benavidez, but I don’t care. I’m ready for everybody.”
