David Benavidez Says He Aims To Beat The S### Out Of [Caleb Plant]

It is clear that neither David Benavidez nor Caleb Plant are fans of each other.

As the two near a clash rumored, but not announced for possibly March 2023, the trash-talking is starting to heat up.

“This fight for me is 100% personal with Caleb Plant,” said Benavidez during an interview with Hans Themistode of BoxingScene.com. “I’m really looking to go in there and beat the shit out of him.”

The bout is a stylistic clash, as Benavidez is one of the best pressure fighters of his era, and Plant is a world-class back-foot boxer, meaning not just are the two different personalities, but also different types of fighters.

In their last outing, both won via knockout. Caleb Plant stopped former world champion, Anthony Dirrell, and David Benavidez brutally beat down former world champion, David Lemieux.

“My plan is go in there and do what I know I can do to Caleb Plant and that’s gonna be put a beating on him worse than Canelo.”
