Crawford Says Business Of Boxing Is Why Spence Fight Isn't Happening

WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford is busy promoting his December 10th pay-per-view fight against David Avanesyan, but no matter what he can’t avoid questions about the fight that didn’t happen against Errol Spence Jr.

“It is what it is – I’m moving forward with my career. Me and Errol, if that fight happens, it will happen next year. I just don’t like the fact that a lot of people are blaming me for trying to make the fight. That’s about it. But my main focus is not on Errol right now. My main focus is on David Avanesyan,” Crawford said during an interview with popular MMA personality, Ariel Helwani on his show, The MMA Hour.“I just blame the business of boxing. I don’t blame myself for [even] one portion of the fight not being made.”

The majority of the interview focused on fiction, or what-if and not what is happening in Crawford’s career, as his upcoming fight seemed secondary to the question all the fans want to know, ‘why isn’t the Errol Spence fight happening?’
