Crawford Picks Haney To Beat Lomachenko

On the advent of Devin Haney’s rematch with George Kambosos Jr., on October 16th in Australia, and October 15th in the United States, one of the best fighters in the world gave his thoughts on the fight.

“I’m going with Devin,” said Crawford in a brief interview with BoxingScene.com. “I give Devin the edge.”

Haney, who has been a long-time SNAC System athlete, an organization ran by a sports scientist, Victor Conte, may very well be teammates soon with Crawford, as rumors have been afloat that Crawford could possibly be training with SNAC System in the future - as an image surfaced this year of the two fighters at the elite gym in the Bay Area.

Crawford, who every fight fan in the world is being rumored to be in a fight against Errol Spence Jr., as the collective consciousnesses of the boxing public waits, and somewhat prays that the fight will happen. Regardless of whether it does or doesn’t - Crawford has been out of the ring for nearly a year now since he stopped Shawn Porter on pay-per-view.

“The youth, the movement, the boxing IQ. But you never can count Lomachenko out. It’s a 50/50 fight in my eyes,” said Crawford when reflecting on his reason why Haney would win.
